One artist that I find interesting is Fortunato Depero, who is a futurist painter. In most of his paintings, he uses block colours and he is quite abstract. I like how he imagines the future of cities and buildings, making them look colourful and creative.
I like the idea of exploring how designers have imagined futuristic spaces- inspiring and challenging architects for the future.
ReplyDeleteHave different decades of designers been influenced by the styles of architecture in their work- eg gothic illustration has the same patterns and complicated lines and curves as its buildings/cathedrals- industrial age with girders, bridges and toweblocks influence graphics posters and illustrations that are strong, bold and angular?
or
How have graphic designers represented futuristic landscapes through different ages and cultures.
